How we Hire
Search and Apply
If you’re made of the right stuff, it’s important to get to know our business and how we work before applying. That’s why we’ve outlined our recruitment process for you. It may vary slightly depending on the role – but at the end of the day, we all want to be 100% sure that we’re right for each other. Right?
Does it suit you and your skills? Where is it based? What are the hours? How do the shift patterns work? What’s the salary (let’s be honest, what you earn is important, too)? How about those benefits and rewards? And where does it sit on our career path?
Depending on the position you’re applying for, we might ask you a couple of questions about your availability to work, the shift patterns you can work or even how you’d behave in situations you might experience in the job.
There are no right or wrong answers to these – just pick whatever feels right to you.
We’ll ask you to include a copy of your CV with your application, so make sure yours is ready.
We'll review your completed application and if we think you’re made of the right stuff, we’ll give you a call so we can have a chat about your application and also to answer any questions you may have. This shouldn’t take too long and there isn’t any special preparation you need to do before the call - just be yourself!
But don’t worry, we won’t be looking for ‘perfect’ – we’ll be more interested in your attitude and behaviour on the day. Afterwards, you’ll sit down for an interview with a manager to discuss how it went and why you feel Five Guys could be right for you.
Things are a little different these days and the way we operate has had to adapt – we have put a number of measures in place to ensure the safety of our crew and candidates remain a priority and that Five Guys is a Covid secure workplace. Our crew wear face coverings in the dining areas as well as on the tills, we will provide you with these on the day. You’ll will also notice hand sanitiser stations in the restaurants for our crew and customers as well as floor markings to ensure we are adhering to social distancing.
One thing that will never change is the way we look after our people and that includes anyone who applies to work with us!
